Lily-Rose, an Australian bride, and Joi, her Japanese groom, came to me with a vision that felt impossible at first: a full destination wedding in Tokyo honouring both worlds without compromise. He wore a traditional hakama. She walked the aisle in a sparkling gown. Their guests flew in from Australia, the UK, and across Japan.

I served as their celebrant and MC, guiding the ceremony in English while ensuring every Japanese-speaking guest felt equally part of the moment. Every vendor, every run sheet, every cultural detail was coordinated from Melbourne, with two site visits to Tokyo in the lead-up.
